Our
Guides:
Bobby Burris
Bobby manages the guided hunting program at Traditions, full-time. He
grew up on a nearby farm in Cecil County Maryland and has been hunting
Maryland's Eastern Shore for 35 years. Canada Goose hunting has always
been his passion and the only thing that could keep him from work was
the promise of an opening day hunt.
Bobby ran the hunting program at Pintail Point, an Orvis-endorsed lodge
for twelve years and later worked at Quaker Neck Gun Club. He has guided
thousands of hunts in his career, but he treats each one as his first.
His clients recommend him often as someone that works very hard to
ensure a safe and successful hunt. Let him show you why over the last
twenty years he has developed such a loyal group of clients.
Keith McGowan
Keith grew up hunting in central Delaware and we are very fortunate to
have him working with us during the winter months. Keith graduated from
the University of Delaware with a degree in Entomology and applied
ecology, with a concentration in wildlife conservation and a minor in
biology. He work with local farmers as an agronomic consultant, making
spraying recommendations to farmers.
Keith is an accomplished caller winning the World Goose Calling
Championship in 1987 as the youngest ever to win the contest. (18 years
and 3 months old). After becoming the first to win 3 times and be
retired from Easton, he concentrated on guiding and competition duck
calling, qualifying for the World Duck Calling Championship in Stuttgart
3 times. He became involved with Sean Mann Outdoor Products in 1995 when
they developed the prototype for the Eastern Shorty for him to blow at
the first World Champion of Champions. Keith is on the Pro-staff for
Drake Waterfowl and several other waterfowl companies.
